Description

This vibrant Mexican 7 layer taco salad recipe layers seasoned beef, creamy guacamole, sour cream, fresh veggies, and crunchy Doritos. It’s fast, filling, and family-approved.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 can black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • Optional: jalapeños, corn, salsa

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Brown the beef in a skillet. Drain fat. Stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
  2. Chop Veggies: Dice tomatoes, shred cheese, slice olives, chop onions.
  3. Layer Ingredients:
  4. Crushed Doritos
  5. Taco beef
  6. Black beans
  7. Sour cream
  8. Guacamole
  9. Lettuce & tomatoes
  10. Cheese, olives, and green onions
  11. Chill (Optional): Refrigerate 5–10 minutes.
  12. Serve Immediately: Add extra Doritos if desired.
