This vibrant Mexican 7 layer taco salad recipe layers seasoned beef, creamy guacamole, sour cream, fresh veggies, and crunchy Doritos. It’s fast, filling, and family-approved.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 can black beans (rinsed and drained)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos
- Optional: jalapeños, corn, salsa
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: Brown the beef in a skillet. Drain fat. Stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
- Chop Veggies: Dice tomatoes, shred cheese, slice olives, chop onions.
- Layer Ingredients:
- Crushed Doritos
- Taco beef
- Black beans
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Lettuce & tomatoes
- Cheese, olives, and green onions
- Chill (Optional): Refrigerate 5–10 minutes.
- Serve Immediately: Add extra Doritos if desired.
Notes
- Substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier twist.
- For a vegetarian version, skip beef and double the beans.
