Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In the dish, mix uncooked rice, both soups, and broth.
  • Lay chicken breasts on top.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly.
  • Drizzle with butter or olive oil.
  • Cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm
