  • Yield: 16 brownies 1x

Description

Heavenly Hash Brownies are rich, fudgy chocolate treats loaded with gooey marshmallows, crunchy nuts, and sweet chocolate chips. This indulgent dessert delivers the perfect balance of chewy, crunchy, and creamy in every bite—pure comfort food heaven!

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Heavenly Hash Topping

  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Optional: ½ cup shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Combine: Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Bake the Brownie Layer: Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Top It Off: Remove the brownies from the oven. Sprinkle with marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, and coconut if using.
  7. Final Bake: Return to the oven for another 5–7 minutes until the marshmallows are golden and the chocolate is melted.
  8. Cool & Slice: Let the brownies cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use Quality Cocoa: It makes a big difference in flavor.
  • Check Doneness Early: Slightly underbaked = extra fudgy.
  • Boost the Chocolate: Add a teaspoon of espresso powder.
  • Switch It Up: Use pretzels, toffee, or white chocolate.
  • Perfect Cuts: Chill the brownies before slicing for cleaner edges.
