This San Giorgio stuffed shells recipe is creamy, rich, and indulgently cheesy. A classic comfort food featuring ricotta-stuffed pasta shells nestled in marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  •  box San Giorgio Jumbo Shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each shell with about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara on the bottom of a 9×13” baking dish.
  6. Arrange stuffed shells in the dish. Cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Swap ricotta with cottage cheese for a lighter version.
  • Want extra flavor? Mix in sautéed spinach or ground beef to the filling.
